Balmoral

This time a car full of adventurers from all around the world is heading north. We’re about to explore the east part of the Cairngorms National Park – the Deeside. The plan is to make several hikes but in case of a bad weather there are 2 castles and one distillery. Our basecamp is a lovely B&B in Braemar.

Our first stop is just north of Dundee – the Glamis Castle.

From the Glamis castle we drive up to the mountains. The spectacular sceneries make us to stop several times. Here is the view of the Glenshee mountain pass.

The next day, we visit the impressive Scottish holiday home to the Royal Family – The Balmoral castle. The estate was purchased by HM the Queen Victoria in 1852 and is in the family ever since.
