Stonehaven is a town on the east coast of Scotland, less then 3 hours train ride from Edinburgh and below half an hour from Aberdeen. On one sunny day we’ve decided that it’s time to get to know this place and show our dear friend a bit of the coastal Scotland.
Stonehaven grew around an Iron Age fishing village and has a nice little harbour, but it’s main attraction is the nearby Dunnottar Castle which was our main aim.
On the way to Dunnottar castle. It was a magnificent relaxed track with fantastic views.
The Dunnotar castle is a ruined medieval fortress located on a rocky head surrounded by the North sea.
